Luxembourg has confirmed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest for the next three editions, guaranteeing the country’s place in the competition through 2029.

National broadcaster RTL Luxembourg welcomed the government’s decision to approve continued funding for the Eurovision project. The broadcaster said the multi-year commitment provides the stability needed to develop Luxembourg’s participation and strengthen the country’s presence on the European music scene.

The decision confirms Luxembourg’s participation in Eurovision 2027, 2028 and 2029, demonstrating that the country’s return in 2024 was not intended as a short-term comeback. After more than three decades away from the contest, Luxembourg has been rebuilding its Eurovision presence while using the competition to promote local creativity, cultural diversity and the country’s international visibility.

RTL has also confirmed that the Luxembourg Song Contest 2027 will take place on 30 January 2027 at Rockhal in Esch-Belval. The national final will select the artist and song that will represent Luxembourg at Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria.

Further details about the competing artists, songs and selection process are expected to be announced as preparations continue.
