Væb (stylised in all caps; pronounced [ˈvai:b], ‘vibe’) is an Icelandic electronic music duo consisting of brothers Hálfdán Helgi Matthíasson (born 4 June 2003) and Matthías Davíð Matthíasson (born 7 December 2004). The duo represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song “Róa”, where they finished 25th overall with 33 points. They also won the 2025 Sögur Children’s Award Festival’s Performer of the Year award.

She qualified for the final and won with the English version, with which she represented Iceland in the contest for a second time, failing to qualify from the first semi-final on 7 May 2024, placing 15th out of 15 with 3 points.

Diljá Pétursdóttir (Icelandic: [ˈtɪljauː ˈpÊ°jɛːtʏrÌ¥sˌtouhtɪr]; born 15 December 2001), simply known as Diljá, is an Icelandic singer. She represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the song “Power”, which topped the charts in Iceland and finished in 11th place in the second semi-final.

Systur (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈsɪstʏr]; lit. ’Sisters’), also known as Sigga, Beta & Elín and formerly Tripolia, are an Icelandic band consisting of sisters Sigríður, Elísabet and Elín Eyþórsdóttir. They represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy with the song “Með hækkandi sól”, after winning the Icelandic national selection Söngvakeppnin 2022. The sisters have previously partnered with DJ Friðfinnur “Oculus” Sigurðsson, with whom they formed the house band Sísý Ey in 2011.

Hatari (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈhaːtarɪ]; lit. ’Hater’) are an Icelandic techno, industrial and punk rock band and performance art group from Reykjavík. Their public image incorporates elements of anti-capitalism and BDSM attire. The band currently consists of Klemens Hannigan, Einar Stefánsson and Davíð Katrínarson, the latter of whom replacing original member Matthías Haraldsson in 2023. They have released an album and an extended play, encompassing several singles. Hatari represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with “Hatrið mun sigra”, finishing in 10th place with 232 points.

Ari Ólafsson (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈaːrɪ ˈouːlafsɔn]) (born 21 May 1998) is an Icelandic singer who represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song “Our Choice” which ended 19th in Semi Final 1 with 15 points. Ari graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London with a degree in opera and is currently pursuing a career in musical theatre.

Svala Björgvinsdóttir (born 8 February 1977), professionally known as Svala, Svala Björgvins or Kali, is an Icelandic singer and songwriter. She rose to major fame with her song, “The Real Me” which was released on 12 June 2001 to Rhythmic contemporary radio, from her album of the same name. The singer briefly adopted the stage name “Kali” after joining the house band Steed Lord. She represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv.

Greta Salóme Stefánsdóttir (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈkrɛːta ˈsaːloumɛ ˈstɛːvaunsˌtouʰtɪr̥]; born 11 November 1986), known outside Iceland simply as Greta Salóme, is an Icelandic singer, songwriter, and violinist in the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. She represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan, in a duet with singer Jónsi with the song “Never Forget”. They qualified from the first semi-final into the Eurovision final and eventually finished in 20th place with 46 points. She represented Iceland again, this time as a soloist, in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song “Hear Them Calling”.

María Ólafsdóttir (born 2 February 1993), known outside Iceland as María Ólafs, is an Icelandic singer, musician, and actress. She represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song “Unbroken”, but failed to qualify for the final.

Pollapönk are an Icelandic punk-inflected children’s music band which represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, with their song “No Prejudice”.

“Ég á líf” (I’m alive) is the Icelandic entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö and is performed by singer Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson after he won Söngvakeppnin 2013. In the final it placed 17th. The song is the first to be performed in Icelandic since 1997. It is also the first Icelandic entry ever to not have an English version recorded.

Jóhanna Guðrún Jónsdóttir (born 16 October 1990), known outside Iceland as Yohanna, is an Icelandic singer. Beginning her music career as a child singer, Yohanna received international recognition after representing Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song “Is It True?”, placing as the runner-up. This tied for the best result Iceland had ever achieved in the contest. Following the success at Eurovision, she released the studio album Butterflies and Elvis (2009).

Eurobandið (Euroband) is the name of Icelandic technopop and dance duo Friðrik Ómar and Regína Ósk, who together represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia. They performed the song “This Is My Life” in the second semi-final, on 22 May 2008 which won them a place in the final on 24 May. They finished 14th out of 25 in the final with 64 points. They have both, separately, established themselves as popular artists in Iceland and have tried to represent Iceland in Eurovision before as separate acts, but were unsuccessful.

Silvía Night (Icelandic: Silvía Nótt; Icelandic: [ˈsɪlvija ˈnouht]) is a fictional, satirical character on Sjáumst með Silvíu Nótt (‘The Silvia Night Show’), an Icelandic comedy show of the television channel Skjár einn. The character was invented by Gaukur Úlfarsson and Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir; the latter plays Silvía Night, and interviews people in real-life situations. Before the show made its début on TV, and when Silvía was still unknown, she used to upset the people she interviewed dramatically with her outrageous behaviour. Silvía Night was Iceland’s participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006.

Páll Óskar Hjálmtýsson (born 16 March 1970), known internationally as Páll Óskar and Paul Oscar, is an Icelandic pop singer, songwriter and disc jockey. He had a musical childhood, singing at private functions, with choirs and for media advertisements, but was affected by bullying in school and tension between his parents at home. Paul Oscar’s musical range spans traditional Icelandic songs, ballads, love songs, disco, house and techno. He released his first album, Stuð (Groove), in 1993 while in New York City, and also sang with Icelandic groups Milljónamæringarnir (The Millionaires) and Casino while establishing a career as a solo artiste. Paul Oscar represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 with “Minn hinsti dans”, finishing in 20th place with 18 points.

Anna Mjöll Ólafsdóttir is an Icelandic jazz singer and songwriter. Anna Mjöll represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 1996 with “Sjúbídú”, finishing in 13th place with 51 points.
