Liene Atvara Stūrmane (born 2 April 1993), known professionally as Atvara, is a Latvian singer and songwriter. She represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the song “Ēnā”, taking the 13th place in the second semi-final.

Tautumeitas (pronounced [ˈtau̯tuˌmɛi̯tas]) are a Latvian folk/world music all-female band formed in 2015. The band consists of six vocalists and instrumentalists. They represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song “Bur man laimi”.

Artūrs Šingirejs (born 10 April 1984), better known as Dons, is a Latvian singer and songwriter. He is one of the most popular singers in Latvia, having won the Latvian Music Recording Awards’ Top Radio Hit award eight times for most played song. He represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with “Hollow”. He has released nine solo albums and has won numerous awards including Latvijas Radio’s Muzikālās Banka (lit. ’Musical Bank’) Song of the Year six times.

Sudden Lights are a Latvian indie rock band, founded in 2012 in Riga. The band consists of vocalist Andrejs Reinis Zitmanis, drummer Mārtiņš Matīss Zemītis, guitarist Kārlis Matīss Zitmanis, and bassist Kārlis Vārtiņš. In February 2023, the group won Supernova 2023 with the song “Aijā” and represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

Citi Zēni (Latvian pronunciation: [ˈtsiti ˈzæːni]; transl. ”Other Boys”) is a Latvian pop and hip hop band, consisting of six members. They represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with their single “Eat Your Salad”.

Latvia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song “The Moon Is Rising” written by Samanta Tīna, Aminata Savadogo and Oskars Uhaņs. The song was performed by Samanta Tīna, who was internally selected by Latvian broadcaster Latvijas Televīzija (LTV) to represent that nation at the 2021 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Songwriter Aminata Savadogo represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song “Love Injected” where she placed sixth in the grand final of the competition. Samanta Tīna was announced as the Latvian representative on 2 April 2020 after she was due to compete in the 2020 contest with “Still Breathing” before the 2020 event’s cancellation.

Carousel is a Latvian band that represented their country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv. The band was originally a duo consisting of founding members Sabīne Žuga and Mārcis Vasiļevskis. Staņislavs Judins (double bass) and Mareks Logins (drums) joined Carousel in 2019. They were selected to represent Latvia in the 2019 contest after winning the country’s national selection, Supernova.

Laura de Carvalho Rizzotto (Latvian: Laura di Karvaļu Rizoto; born 18 July 1994) is a Latvian-Brazilian singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist. She released her debut studio album Made in Rio in 2011 through Universal Music Brazil, which included the single “Friend in Me”. In 2014, she independently released her second studio album Reason to Stay, and independently released the extended play RUBY in 2017. Rizzotto represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song “Funny Girl”, but placed twelfth in the second semifinal and didn’t qualify to the final.

Triana Park (Latvian: Triānas Parks) is a Latvian group founded in 2008 consisting of lead vocalist and founder Agnese Rakovska, guitarist Artūrs Strautiņš, drummer Edgars Viļums and bassist Kristaps Ērglis. Their style combines pop and electronic with hints of hip-hop and rock. They represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with their song “Line” They also previously attempted to represent the nation in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.

Justs Sirmais (born 6 February 1995), also known as simply Justs, is a Latvian singer and television presenter. He represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song “Heartbeat”.

Aminata Savadogo (born 9 January 1993), occasionally known as simply Aminata, is a Latvian singer, songwriter, record producer, and model. She represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song “Love Injected”. She released her debut studio album, Inner Voice, in April 2015.

Aarzemnieki (Latvian: [ˈaːrzæmniɛki]; an internet style writing of the Latvian word “ārzemnieki”, meaning “foreigners”) are a Latvian band that represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, with their song “Cake to Bake”. The lead singer of the band, Jöran Steinhauer, is German.

PeR (short for Please Explain the Rhythm) is a Latvian pop and beatboxing band formed in 2007. The original line-up was Ralfs Eilands, Emīls Vegners, and Pēteris Upelnieks. With Vegners leaving in 2007 and Upelnieks in 2011, the band became a duo consisting of Ralfs Eilands and Edmunds Rasmanis. PeR represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song “Here We Go”.

Linda Dinsberga (née Amantova), known by her stage name Anmary, is a Latvian singer of Russian origin who won the Latvian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Azerbaijan with the song “Beautiful Song”.

Musiqq is a Latvian pop music duo from Liepāja formed by Marats Ogļezņevs and Emīls Balceris. The duo first gained exposure in June 2009 with the release of their first single “Klimata kontrole”(“Climate control”), but on October 1 their second single “Abrakadabra” came out, which was a radio hit in Latvia and “SEB Musical Bank 2009” winner. Their debut album “Šī ir tikai mūzika”(“This is just music”) was released in March 2010, which included radio hits such as “Abrakadabra”, “Dzimšanas diena” (“Birthday”) and “Klimata kontrole” (“Climate control”). Both singers were awarded as “Gada Liepājnieks”(“Liepajnieks of the year” is a prize awarded for those, who have invested their time, effort and talent into making the city a better place) in nomination “‘Music” and received three Copyright infinity prizes, because their songs are the most played on the radio, television and concerts. Musiqq represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with “Angel in Disguise”, finishing in 17th place with 25 points.

Aija Andrejeva (born 16 January 1986 in Lielvarde), also known by her former stage name Aisha ([aiʃa]), is a Latvian singer. Aisha represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with “What For?”, finishing in 17th place with 11 points.

Intars Busulis (born 2 May 1978 in Talsi, Latvia) is a Latvian singer, trombonist and musician in a Musical Union Intars Busulis & Abonementa orķestris. Wider recognition came from participation in a band called “Caffe”, in 2001. Also, he has been the winner of several music competitions (including the Grand Prix of the “New Wave” in 2005), as well as, he represented Latvia in Eurovision Song Contest 2009. He was also a contestant in the 3rd season of Russian reality television singing competition The Voice, based on The Voice series.

Pirates of the Sea is a musical project that in May 2008 represented Latvia in Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade, Serbia with their song “Wolves of the Sea”. It consists of three members: Italian singer Roberto Meloni who is living in Latvia, dancer Aleksandra Kurusova and until his death in 2016 the TV and radio personality Jānis Vaišļa. Meloni also represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 as a part of Bonaparti.lv. The song “Wolves of the Sea” was written by four Swedish composers: Jonas Liberg, Johan Sahlen, Claes Andreasson and Torbjörn Wassenius.

Vocal Group Cosmos (commonly known as Cosmos) was a Latvian a cappella band that formed in Riga in 2002. The band comprised singers Jānis Šipkēvics, Andris Sējāns (both countertenors), Juris Lisenko (tenor), Jānis Ozols (baritone), Jānis Strazdiņš (bass) and Reinis Sējāns (beatbox). Cosmos gained national and international recognition after they were chosen to represent Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 held in Athens, Greece, with the song “I Hear Your Heart”. Despite winning the national Eirodziesma 2006 contest, the band finished in joint sixteenth place out of the twenty-four finalists, with thirty points.

Latvia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song “The War Is Not Over”, written by Mārtiņš Freimanis, and performed by Walters and Kazha. The Latvian participating broadcaster, Latvijas Televīzija (LTV), organised the national final Eirodziesma 2005 in order to select its entry for the contest. Twenty songs were selected to compete in the national final, which consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. In the semi-finals on 29 January and 5 February 2005, five entries were selected to advance from each show: three entries selected based on a public televote and two entries selected by a jury panel.

Fomins & Kleins was a Latvian rock group formed in 2002. Its members Ivo Fomins and Tomass Kleins were already accomplished and recognized rock musicians. Both are from the western Latvian port city of Liepāja. Fomins & Kleins represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with “Dziesma par laimi”, finishing in 17th place with 23 points.

Latvia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with the song “Hello from Mars”, written by Mārtiņš Freimanis and Lauris Reiniks, and performed by the group F.L.Y. The Latvian participating broadcaster, Latvian Television (LTV) organised the national final Eirodziesma 2003 in order to select its entry for the contest. In addition, LTV was also the host broadcaster and staged the event at the Skonto Hall in Riga, after winning the previous edition with the song “I Wanna” performed by Marie N. Fifteen songs were selected to compete in the national final on 1 February 2003 where two rounds of public televoting selected “Hello from Mars” performed by F.L.Y.

“I Wanna” is a song composed and recorded by Latvian singer Marie N with lyrics written by herself and Marats Samauskis. It represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 held in Tallinn, resulting in the country’s only ever win at the contest.

Latvia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with the song “Too Much”, written by Arnis Mednis and Gustavs Terzens, and performed by Arnis Mednis himself. The Latvian participating broadcaster, Latvijas Televīzija (LTV), organised the national final Eirodziesma 2001 in order to select its entry for the contest. Ten songs were selected to compete in the national final on 24 February 2001 where a public televote and four thematical jury groups selected “Too Much” performed by Arnis Mednis as the winner. Latvia competed in the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 12 May 2001.

Prāta Vētra, known internationally as Brainstorm, is a Latvian pop/rock band. The band became popular internationally in 2000 when they finished third in the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 with the song “My Star”.
