Denmark

First held in 1957, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix is one of Europe’s oldest televised music competitions and has selected almost every Danish Eurovision entry. Throughout its long history, the contest has produced several iconic Eurovision moments, including The Olsen Brothers’ victory in 2000 with Fly on the Wings of Love and Emmelie de Forest’s Eurovision-winning song Only Teardrops in 2013. Combining tradition with contemporary Danish music, the competition remains one of the country’s biggest annual television events.
