Luxembourg has officially launched its search for its Eurovision Song Contest 2027 representative, with registrations now open for the fourth edition of the Luxembourg Song Contest (LSC). The national final will once again determine who will represent the Grand Duchy at Eurovision in Bulgaria next May.
This year’s selection introduces a new dual application system, separating artist auditions from song submissions in an effort to give more opportunities to both performers and songwriters.
Artists Can Apply Until 20 September
Solo artists, bands and performers can now register to audition for the Luxembourg Song Contest, even if they do not yet have a song.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old by 15 January 2027.
- Have a strong connection to Luxembourg through nationality, residency or active involvement in the country’s music scene.
- Be available between November 2026 and May 2027 for rehearsals, promotion and Eurovision-related activities.
- Be capable of performing live on stage.
Auditions are scheduled for mid-October 2026, where an international panel of Eurovision experts will select the artists advancing to the national final.
Songwriters Invited Until 29 October
Song submissions will remain open until 29 October 2026, welcoming entries from both Luxembourgish and international composers.
Submitted songs must:
- Be no longer than three minutes.
- Not have been released or publicly performed before 1 September 2026.
- Be suitable for Eurovision rules.
Entries may be performed in any language, with songs in Luxembourgish also encouraged. A panel of experts will shortlist the strongest entries before they are matched with the selected artists.
New Pairing Workshop
A new feature for the 2027 edition is a Pairing Workshop, where shortlisted artists and songwriters will collaborate alongside industry professionals and Eurovision experts.
The workshop is designed to help each artist find the song that best fits their style, whether it is their own composition or one written by another songwriter. Following this process, the finalists for the Luxembourg Song Contest will be confirmed.
National Final Set for 30 January
The Luxembourg Song Contest 2027 will take place on 30 January 2027 at the Rockhal in Belval, where Luxembourg’s Eurovision 2027 representative will be selected.
Luxembourg returned to Eurovision in 2024 and has used the Luxembourg Song Contest as its national selection ever since. In 2026, Eva Marija won the competition with Mother Nature and went on to represent the country at Eurovision in Vienna.
